Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
- Supervise and manage daily operations within the facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of nurses and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence in care delivery.
- Oversee the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adapting care plans as necessary.
- Ensure effective communication with residents, families, and external healthcare providers regarding care needs and progress.
- Manage staffing levels effectively to meet the demands of the service while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide training and support for staff on best practices in dementia care and other specialised areas.
Skills
- Proven experience in managing care facilities or similar environments, particularly in senior care settings.
- Strong understanding of care plans and their implementation within assisted living or nursing home contexts.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and the ability to provide compassionate support to residents with cognitive impairments.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities effectively.
